The King Of POP, MICHAEL JACKSON Live

[ Click on Picture above for a special tribute music video dedicated to Michael J. Jackson ]

There was magic in the air that night as I watched the pop icon, Michael Jackson mesmerize his audience with signature moves, hit songs, and electrifying energy. All my life I watched the amazing performer grow from child star to bigger than life mega-superstar, and nothing could have been more exciting than to have a camera handy to capture some of his energy to cherish and to share past that moment. Who would have ever known that his life would be cut short and that the very personal photo souvenir from this performance would be one of the lasting memories to remind how greatly his talent had impacted the lives of so many fans. I always felt a special connection to the pop sensation since his family and my family both shared a hometown, Gary, Indiana, not to mention during my childhood and early adulthood I was compared to his physical appearance as a look alike. It was a daily reminder that I thought would last forever, "You look like Michael Jackson" was thrilling to hear and until his appearance changed it was common for strangers to come up to me and state their declaration that they thought I looked like Michael, and ask did I know it. Of course, I had heard it all my life, so I had grown to expect to hear it and everyday I certainly did hear it. Even before my voice changed I had a timbre to my voice similar to the pop icon that excited those who heard me sing. So naturally I loved, loved, loved, all the attention and the original "king of pop" himself. Ironically, I entered the music business and it seemed that the paths of our lives would continue to cross each other. I am thrilled to remember him as the most famous person I have ever known about, purchasing all his memorabilia, albums, and attending this concert to see him perform live. This was his concert following the "BAD" album and I was fortunate to catch it at the Meadowlands Arena, in New Jersey. In 2009, when the "king of pop" passed away, I memorialized the tribute paid by his New York City fans at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem with a tribute video and song, "What Is Love." He will always be loved, admired, and remembered, and my affection as a fan will always last. He was indeed, one of a kind. Long live the "king of pop",
long live Michael Joe Jackson! "I just can't stop loving you!"
